The IRS have announced that the 2018 tax season begins January 29th. This date marks the earliest point when the IRS will start accepting completed personal federal tax returns, however it is never too early to start collating your information!

Important 2018 US Tax Dates

The 2018 tax filing deadlines will be important to remember in the coming months. The standard tax filing deadline this year is Tuesday, April 17th. Since the normal deadline of April 15th falls on a Sunday, and Emancipation Day will be observed on Monday April 16th, the deadline has been moved April 17th.

It is important to remember that US Taxpayers living outside of the USA receive an automatic two-month extension, which moves the deadline to file to June 15th, by submitting an application to the IRS this deadline can be further extended to October 15th. However, remember that any tax owed will start to accrue interest by the April 17th deadline.
